About ToolShoppy

ToolShoppy is a free online tools hub: 55+ single-purpose utilities for PDFs, images, video and everyday finance math, each living on its own dedicated page instead of being buried behind a paywall or a signup wall. Every tool runs entirely inside your browser tab — there is no upload step, no server-side processing queue, and no account to create. Open the tool, do the task, close the tab.

Why we built it this way

Most "free" online tool sites quietly upload your file to a server to process it, then delete it later (or claim to). That means your Aadhaar card, salary slip, exam admit card, or a client's contract passes through a stranger's infrastructure before you get the result back. We think that's the wrong default for something as routine as compressing a photo or merging two PDFs, so ToolShoppy is built the other way around: every tool uses your browser's own File API, Canvas, and WebAssembly libraries to do the work on your device. Nothing you open in a ToolShoppy tool is ever transmitted anywhere — we couldn't read it even if we wanted to, because it never reaches a server we control.

The trade-off is that ToolShoppy can't offer things that genuinely require a server (cloud storage, team collaboration on a shared file, OCR trained on proprietary datasets). What it can offer is speed — there's no upload queue or network round-trip, so a 20 MB PDF merges in the time it takes to click twice — and a straightforward privacy answer: your files stay on your device, full stop.

What's on ToolShoppy

Tools are grouped into five categories, each with its own hub page:

Built with India and the Gulf in mind

ToolShoppy started as a way to solve small, specific, recurring problems for people in India and the Gulf — the exact PAN card photo dimensions a government form demands, today's gold rate in Kerala versus Dubai, or GST-inclusive pricing for a small business invoice. That focus shows up throughout the product: government-photo presets matched to real exam and ID-card specs, rate trackers pulled from regional sources with attribution, and finance calculators built around India's tax slabs and the UAE's 5% VAT rather than a generic US template. The tools work for anyone, anywhere, but the edge cases are tuned for this audience first.

Who's behind it

ToolShoppy is an independently built and maintained project — not a venture-funded startup, not a rebrand of an existing SaaS. It is free to use with no tool locked behind a paywall, no daily usage caps, and no forced signup; the site is supported by advertising, which is why you'll see ad placements around (never inside) the tools. New tools ship regularly based on what people actually search for and ask about — see the contact page to request one.
